Connection Crew, offers a positive, encouraging environment where participants can practice social interaction skills, develop self-awareness, and learn to build and maintain meaningful friendships.
Led by an experienced clinical psychologist and advanced intern, who foster a sense of safety and inclusivity for all participants, this group focuses on helping youth feel more comfortable and capable in social settings.
Group Process Through guided discussions, interactive activities, and collaborative projects, participants learn how to initiate and maintain conversations, recognize and respond to social cues, and navigate peer relationships with confidence and empathy.
Outcomes Participants will build confidence, foster authentic connections, and grow socially and emotionally—while having fun and feeling supported.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT FOR YOUTH TO BE ABLE TO MAKE AND KEEP FRIENDS?As pre-teens and teens maneuver through the challenges of growing up, developing strong social and emotional skills becomes essential for forming healthy relationships and managing the ups and downs of daily life. This group provides the opportunity to connect with understanding peers, share experiences, and gain practical tools for communicating effectively and building lasting, positive relationships.
Registration Process and CostEnroll An intake session is required for prospective participants who are not current clients. Consents and other forms must be completed in advance. Membership composition is a key factor to help foster a cohesive group dynamic for all involved.
Cost $160 per 55-minute group session. $260 for intake assessment session (if prospective member is not a current client). Payment due at the time of service. Please inquire more about Insurance rates. We are currently in network with Anthem (Carelon), CareFirst/BCBS, and United/Optum. Superbills may be requested for any out-of-network benefits your plan may reimburse directly to you.
Details Group size is limited and typically ranges between 4-8 participants, depending on the nature of the group. Parents are periodically provided with brief updates on the themes discussed in group. If parents desire more information, please schedule a session to discuss specific information pertaining to your child.
Commitment Members are asked to commit to attending at least 12 sessions to gain the most benefit.
